Community Clean-Up Day

I would like to organize a Community Clean-Up event for the neighborhood. As a resident here I believe that keeping up with the overall neighborhood appearance is just as important as communication among neighbors. What better way to help neighbors communicate than to organize a Community Clean-Up Day?!

This event will likely be held on a Saturday morning from 8 am to 11 am and those residents willing to be involved could help to clean up the neighborhood by:

1. Picking up trash
2. Helping neighbors to mow lawns
3. Pulling weeds from sidewalks
4. Sweeping dirt around curbs
5. ETC

If this event is successful, I would like to continue doing it on a quarterly basis. Volunteers will be needed to provide water, trash bags and snacks. If you think you might be interested, please email Dawn at monterreyvillage@gmail.com so that she may get an idea of how many people might be interested. Depending on the response, the event details should be worked out and set by mid-October.

Meet and Greet at Model Home

I am currently in communication with one of the sales reps at the Imagine Home's model home here in Monterrey Village to help organize a community "Meet and Greet" party. All residents of Monterrey Village will be invited to attend in hopes of encouraging neighbors to mingle and meet one another, if they have not done so already. In addition, this event will help to welcome new residents and to help them feel more at home. More information about this event will be posted shortly. Please stay tuned!
